Greed Caused Shoplifters To Get Caught In Huntingdon Valley

by Alex Lloyd Gross

They got away with it once. Then they went back a second time and got away clean that time too. The third time, however was the charm, as Cristian Olivero-Pacheco and Anthony Saldana, both from North Philadelphia got caught allegedly shoplifting from the same CVS store on Welsh Road.

The entire incident started on August 14, when the two allegedly pilfered items from the store. On August 17, store staff figured out they were short $1634.00 worth of cosmetics and related products. Police were called and officers watched the security camera as a male in an orange vest placed items in a backpack and his pants pockets, then leave without paying.

On August 19, another theft of the same kinds of products took place, totaling over $3600,00 and the same actors were said to be responsible. They came back again on August 21, 2025 wearing the same clothes.

As they were in the store placing items into their backpacks, officers came into the store and arrested them. Their charges include retail theft and related offenses.
