It is frustrating to order something and have it delivered, only to have the package stolen from your porch, before you can get to it. police in Lower Moreland Pa. said that is exactly what happened July 26,2025 when a person on the 1100 block of Welsh road reported that their package was stolen.
This happened overnight, about 12:30 AM. Security cameras captured the image of the thief. The next day, police in Cheltenham made an arrest of a porch pirate and it was the same person. That person was identified as Renaldo Garcia, no address given.
Garcia was wearing the same outfit in Cheltenham as he did in Lower Moreland. Garcia faces charges of Theft, and prowling at night. Porch pirates never know what they are going to get. They may hope for an expensive item but more often than not, it is something specific and inexpensive. A package of size 3x adult diapers or maybe a face plate to an antique radio. Items like those are more often shipped and are of no value except to the person that ordered it.
