“Millionaire” Arrested For Duping Warrington Video Production Company

When Nelson Elberto Garcia from Metuchen, New Jersey. contacted a video production company in Warrington Pa, he held himself out to be a “millionaire” and claimed his parents were killed in 9/11. He wanted to have this company film a documentary on him. The videographer and his assistant made the trip to New Jersey and met with Garcia.

About three hours of footage was shot. The bill came to $2500, which Garcia paid with a check dated September 4 2023. The footage was shot in 2024. When the production company went to cash the check, they were told the account was closed, police said.

All attempts to contact Garcia failed, police said so the video production company called police who swore out an arrest warrant against Garcia. Whether he had a million dollars or was worth a million is up for debate.

Police arrested him on October 7 2025 and he sat in the Middlesex County Correctional Facility until October 23, 2025. That is when Bucks County authorities retrieved him and brought him to Warrington. Garcia was transported to the Warrington Township Police Department. Garcia was processed and arraigned by Judge Stacey Wertman, who released him on $25,000 unsecured bail.

How he got back home to New Jersey is unknown. His charges include Theft of Services and bad checks.
