Former Catholic School Teacher Pleads Guilty To Federal Child Pornography Charges

WARMINSTER, PA— A longtime Bucks County educator has pleaded guilty in federal court to child pornography charges stemming from an investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies.

U.S. Attorney David Metcalf announced that Richard Adamsky, 66, of Warminster, entered a guilty plea before U.S. District Judge Gerald J. Pappert to one count of receipt and attempted receipt of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.

According to federal prosecutors, Adamsky knowingly received visual depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct on or about June 15, 2024. Investigators also found that he possessed two computers and two flash drives containing such material. The images included depictions of prepubescent minors and children under the age of 12.

At the time of his arrest, Adamsky was employed as a seventh and eighth grade teacher at Nativity of Our Lord Grade School in Warminster, where he had taught for approximately 38 years.

The case was brought under Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched by the U.S. Department of Justice in 2006 to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse. The program coordinates federal, state, and local resources to investigate, prosecute, and prevent crimes involving the exploitation of children, particularly those committed through the internet.

The investigation was conducted by the FBI’s Philadelphia Field Office Fort Washington Resident Agency, in cooperation with the Warminster Township Police Department, Upper Merion Township Police Department, and the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Maureen McCartney.

Sentencing has not yet been scheduled.
