Person Struck and Killed Along Train Tracks In Bristol

Shortly after 1:00 PM today, a person was struck and killed by a train along the train tracks that border Route 13. It appears that the train was a SEPTA train. That train was stopped on the tracks and was being investigated by Transit Police.

The body appears to have been found along the tracks farther north on Route 13 between Veterans Highway and Commerce Circle.

It is unknown exactly what the person was doing on the tracks or what direction the train was traveling. Identity is being withheld until notification of next of kin by the coroner. Train service in this area has been delayed.
