by Alex Lloyd Gross

Richard Sturts was arrested late last month and charged with the burglary of Wilson’s Pub, which is located on the 1800 block of Brownsville Road in Lower Southampton Twp. Police allege that Sturts broke out the front window of the bar using a center punch type device. Once inside, he took the entire cash register. He put the register inside his mothers car, returned to the bar, went in and caused property damage.

During this time, police said that Sturts cut his hand, causing him to bleed. It turns out that Sturts used his mother car to comitt the crime, police said. His blood wound up in her car, police said.

On December 2,2025, Sturts was arrested for another burglary and during that arrest, he gave information to police that he was in Wilson’s Pub and cut his hand there. Bensalem officials passed that information to Lower Southampton Twp.

Sturts is no stranger to the criminal justice system, having several cases lodged against him, from from the late 1980’s. He is currently facing charges of burglary, criminal mischief, theft and related offenses from the crimes in Lower Southampton and Bensalem Townships.

According to court records, he has been remanded to the Bucks County Prison under $150,000.00 bail. His next court date is later this month.
