THIS STORY IS BASED OFF OF PRELIMINARY INFORMATION. IT CAN CHANGE AS MORE FACTS COME IN AND MORE THINGS ARE CONFIRMED
Firefighters from Lower Bucks County and companies in Burlington County New Jersey converged on the 300 block of Garfield Street in Bristol Borough for a house fire. First in crews had heavy smoke pour from the top floor and all companies quickly went to work.
After several searches, it was confirmed that there were no injuries to civilians. One firefighter was treated for smoke inhalation.
PECO was called and shut the power down for the entire block. Many streets around the fire scene were closed and blocked by fire trucks. A second alarm was called and many of those companies wound up in a staging position, waiting to be called in for manpower.
The cause is still under investigation.
