Kaileigh Hogan of Ontario, Canada, came into the United States to steal. Specifically, Bensalem Township, Bucks County Pa. According to police, it was back on May 11,2026 when she spotted a Federal Express driver making a delivery. It is unknown if she knew what was in the package but she claimed ownership of it and even signed for it, police said. The contents of the package was assorted gold and silver valued at over $43,000., police said.
It turns out she had no claim to the package and she still took it. She sped off with the package in a Nissan, which police determined was rented from Enterprise Rentals at the Philadelphia International Airport. She returned the car and took off on an airplane to Arizona. police said
As she was relaxing in Arizona, police in Bensalem, 2500 miles away were building a case against her. Bensalem Township Police obtained an arrest warrant charging Hogan with Forgery (F2), Theft by Unlawful Taking (F3), and Theft by Deception (F3). Because Hogan was in the United States from Canada on a visa, investigators contacted U.S. Customs and Border Protection to advise the agency of the outstanding warrant.
On July 5, 2026, Hogan probably forgot about the stolen package containing the silver and gold. She thought she was in the clear and went to cross back into Canada from Lewiston New York. It was there that customs officials discovered her warrant. She was arrested and cooled her heels in jail for a few weeks.
She was brought back to Bensalem in late July by the Bucks County Sheriff Department to face her charges . Her bail was set at $1,000,000.00 and she was remanded to the Bucks County Prison.
