A three vehicle accident at the intersection of Bustleton Avenue and Strahle Street sent one driver to a local hospital. According to police, the crash happened just after 10:AM today.
Preliminary reports are that a car was stopped in the northbound lane of Bustleton Ave, when an SUV plowed into the rear of hit, bounced off and then veered out on control . The SUV went down a small grade and slammed into a parked car at the Pegasus Riding Academy.
It’s unknown exactly what happened to cause the driver of the SUV to lose control. He was taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital in stable condition. The driver of the car hit by the errant SUV did not sustain any injury, she said.
The car at the riding academy was not occupied. Had it not been there, it is almost guaranteed that the striking vehicle would have crashed into a horse barn on the property.
