Two Car Crash Closes Major Road In Falls Township

by Alex Lloyd Gross

A two vehicle crash in a desolate stretch of E. Lincoln Highway in Falls Township sent two people to area hospitals yesterday around 3:10 PM. The location was in between cross streets and there were wooded areas on both sides of the street, which made it difficult for 911 callers to pinpoint the location.

As help arrived, they found two vehicles on a grassy berm, next to some woods on the south bound side of the road. It appeared that one vehicle crossed into the path of another by veering across the lanes of travel. There was no guardrail .

One driver was seen outside of her vehicle sitting on the ground and the other, an elderly lady was pinned in her car and that required the Falls Township Fire Company to pop the door to get her out. The injuries are said to be serious but not life threatening.

Police were investigating to see what vehicle crossed into the others lane of travel. The road was closed for over an hour until tow trucks could get the cars out of the road.
