Cops: Man from NY drove to Bucks to have Sex with a 13-Year -Old

A man from New York is in custody tonight as he is accused of making trips to Bucks County to have sex with a 13-year old.

Matthew Veltri, 26 of Massapequa Park in Nassau County, has been charged with five sex-related offenses by the Hilltown Township Police Department, court records show.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Veltri met the 13 -year- old victim through a social media app, and subsequently drove to Hilltown Twp on three separate occasions to have sexual contact with the victim in March of this year.

Veltri was arrested, and held in a Long Island Jail on April, 17, according to the Nassau Count DA’s office, who then executed a search warrant at the suspects home Long Island finding child pornography.

Cooperation between investigators of Bucks and Nassau Counties law enforcement is noted in the probable cause documents.

Veltri was arraigned in Hemstead, New York on Friday and was remanded to jail on charges he faces in the state of New York, according to a release from the Hilltown authorities.

In Pennsylvania, Veltri has been charged with four felonies and one misdemeanor, according to county court documents.

He is charged with

1 count Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse (F1)

1 count Unlawful Contact with a Minor (F1)

1 count Corruption of Minors (F3)

1 count Criminal Use of Communication Facility (F3)

1 count Indecent Assault (M1)

As of press time, preliminary hearing has yet to be scheduled in Bucks County, for the New York resident.

Veltri is currently awaiting extradition to Bucks County from New York.
