PennDOT announced lane closures in both directions on I-95 and I-295 in Bucks County are planned for next week.
Beginning Monday closures will be between Academy Road and Rt. 413 (Bristol) interchanges on Monday, May 6, through Friday, May 10. They’ll be in the evening and overnight hours, from 7 p.m.-5 a.m.
Pavement marker installation that’s part of a project to repair and resurface 13 miles of the interstates in Bensalem, Bristol, Middletown and Lower Makefield townships, is the reason for the closures, officials said.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling on I-95 and I-295 in the work areas because backups and delays are expected to occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling, overlaying and rehabilitating existing pavement, performing base repairs, installing new guide rail, repairing or replacing damaged traffic signs, performing minor bridge deck repairs and installing rumble strips and delineators along the I-95 and I-295 corridor in Bucks County.
