No one in this region has the Coronavirus. However, health administration officials have closed all of the the Cheltenham School District;s schools until next Monday, for deep cleaning. This after it was revealed that a student’s parent was a caregiver to someone that has the virus. The parent had not exhibited any symptoms. There are seven confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Montgomery County. One is a doctor at CHOP. The people are being quarantined at home or a local hospitals.
In Cherry Hill NJ a 60 year old man is in critical condition at Jefferson Hospital with the virus. Princeton University has cancelled all extra curricular activities and told students to attend classes on line if possible. No one there has any symptoms of the virus.
In Bucks County, Neshaminy High School will be closed Tuesday, March 10 2020. A student had direct contact with the CHOP doctor and has not exhibited any symptoms. This is being done as a precautionary measure. No other schools in the district will be affected.
Across the nation, large gatherings like Cochilla and South by Southwest have been cancelled. There have been no confirmed cases in Philadelphia. Across the region, people are panic buying hand sanitizer and toilet paper.. This, after seeing videos of people panic buying across the globe. At Wegmans in Cherry Hill NJ they had toilet paper but no hand sanitizer. The situation was the same in Wal-Mart locations in Philadelphia and Bucks County.
