Fire Crews from Bensalem and Croydon were called to the 3100 block of State Road in Bensalem for a house fire. As crews were responding in, a large plume of smoke could be seen by arriving units. As they arrived, they were greeted by fire and smoke from the second floor. There were reports of a person trapped inside and that had no been confirmed by press time.
At least one ambulance was called. The fire was declared under control about 30 minutes after dispatch Sunday afternoon, March 15, 2020. Complicating matters were live electric lines that were in danger of falling down. Apparatus had to move to keep away from them. Fire Police were called to close off State Road between Street Road and Dunksferry Rds. A cause has not been determined.
