Something is not working. Be it Larry Krasner the DA being soft on criminals, or police procedures that are not effective, but something is driving violent crime through the roof in Philadelphia. During the early morning hours of December 30, 2020, a male was shot and killed as he sat in a vehicle , in a driveway on the 1100 block of Rosalie Street,  which is in the Lawncrest section of the city.

As of 2:00 PM the victims name has not been released. Police have no one in custody.  They have no motive.  The rear window of the car sits broken, as police guard the scene, waiting for detectives to finish processing the scene and a tow truck to remove the vehicle.  The male was shot in his head and was pronounced by Philadelphia Fire Medics. Police are looking for security cameras that might have caught something. His murder was the 495th killing for the year. This is the highest murder rate since the early 1990’s.
