Fake COVID Vaccine Registration, Phone Frauds: Northampton Police Blotter

Traffic Accident Patrol responded to Heather Rd. at 2nd St. Pike for a report of a two vehicle traffic accident. Unit #1 struck a parked vehicle. There were no reported injuries. DUI Accident Patrol responded to Highland Dr. for a report of a DUI accident. The vehicle operator struck multiple mailboxes and became stuck in the snow. The vehicle operator was taken into custody.
Traffic Accident Patrol responded to 2nd St. Pike for a report of a two vehicle traffic accident. Unit #1 rear ended Unit #2. There were no injuries reported and neither vehicle required a tow. Traffic Accident Patrol responded to Charter Cr. at Hill Rd. for a report of a two vehicle traffic accident. Unit #1 backed into Unit #2. There were no reported injuries and neither vehicle required a tow.
Fraud Complainant reports she was contacted by her bank that an unknown subject cashed a check using a fake Pa. Driver’s license with the complainant’s information on it. The bank refunded the complainant the money that was cashed. The unknown subject attempted to cash another check using the fake DL, but was not successful because the account was flagged.
Attempted Fraud Complainant was contacted via phone by an unknown subject impersonating the complainant’s nephew. The subject stated he was arrested after a traffic accident and needed $12,700 in bail money. The complainant withdrew the money from the bank, but thought the phone call was suspicious and contacted our department before sending the money. The complainant did not send the money.
Simple Assault Complainant came into our HQ to report a simple assault. Patrol responded to the suspect’s residence, but he was gone upon our arrival. A warrant was issued for his arrest. Traffic Accident Patrol responded to East Bristol Rd. at Bustleton Pike for a report of a two vehicle accident with minor injuries. Unit #1 entered East Bristol Rd. causing a collision with Unit #2. Unit #1 sustained minor injury. Both vehicles required a tow.

Fraud Complainant reports an unknown subject opened a money market account using the complainant’s information. The account was opened online in Ohio. The subject attempted to pay an $8,000 bill from the account. Traffic Accident Patrol was dispatched to the 1100 block of West Bristol Rd. for a report of a two vehicle traffic accident. Unit #1 struck the rear of Unit #2. There were no reported injuries, but Unit #1 required a tow.

Traffic Accident Patrol responded to Bustleton Pike at Sager Place for a report of a single vehicle traffic accident. Unit #1 lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree. The vehicle operator was transported to Saint Mary Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. His vehicle required a tow. Retail Theft Patrol responded to a local retail store for a report of a theft. An unknown female took numerous items from the store and left.
Fraud Complainant reported that an unknown person purchased a mattress using her credit card. The mattress cost over $2,000. The dispute is being worked out with the business.

Scam Complainant received an email to register for her COVID-19 vaccine. The complainant clicked on the link and provided personal information. After submitting the information, the complainant contacted the hospital who stated they never sent an email.
Traffic Accident Patrol was dispatched to Middle Holland Rd. at Rock Way for a report of a two vehicle traffic accident. Unit #1 rear ended Unit #2. There were no reported injuries. Unit #1 required a tow.
Traffic Accident Patrol responded to the area of West Bristol Rd. at Cherry Blossom Rd. for a report of a single vehicle accident. Unit #1 was traveling on West Bristol Rd. when a deer struck his vehicle. There were no reported injuries and his vehicle did not require a tow.

Warrant Patrol initiated a traffic stop on East Bristol Rd. for a traffic violation. The vehicle operator was taken into custody for a warrant out of the Buck’s County Sheriff’s Office. Drugs Patrol conducted a traffic stop on 2nd St. Pike for no inspection. After further investigation, the vehicle operator was taken into custody for controlled substances.
Traffic Accident Patrol responded to West Village Rd. at Plumly Way for a report of a two vehicle traffic accident. Unit #1 entered the intersection causing a collision with Unit #2. There were no reported injuries and neither vehicle required a tow.

Hit and Run Accident Patrol responded to the area of Knowles Ave and East Bristol Rd. for a report of a hit and run accident. Unit #1 rear ended Unit #2 and then left the area. The fleeing vehicle was described as an older tan colored sedan, possibly a Toyota Corolla. It was operated by an Asian/white male with glasses most likely in his teens. There were no injuries and neither vehicle required a tow.
02-13-2021 Traffic Accident Patrol responded to the Richboro Wawa for a report of a two vehicle traffic accident. Unit #1 did not fully stop at a clearly posted stop sign causing a collision with Unit #2. There were no reported accidents and neither vehicle required a tow. Traffic Accident Patrol responded to the 1700 block of 2nd St. Pike for a report of a two vehicle traffic accident. Unit #1 rear ended Unit #2. There were no reported injuries. Unit #1 requires a tow.

02-14-2021 Traffic Accident Patrol responded to Buck Rd. at West Village Rd. for a report of a single vehicle traffic accident. Unit #1 was traveling on Buck Rd. when a deer struck his vehicle. There were no reported injuries. During this tour, Patrol responded to 10 Alarms, 18 Abandoned 911 Calls, 41 Medical Calls, 5 Domestic Disputes and 12 Bookings.
