They got spooked when they saw store security, and they made a beeline for the door, without the merchandise.  As police pulled up, the couple tried to run but were caught. They were right near the vehicle that they drove to the store in. A 2020 black Buick Enclave. That vehicle was reported stolen in North Carolina.

Police got a search warrant and found several out of state registrations , a fake DEA badge and a Sig Sauer and Glock styled BB and airsoft guns, along with a rifle magazine and pistol ammunition. No real firearms were located. Police were able to clear one retail theft from Bensalem Township and a burglary and stolen auto case from North Carolina.

Both are charged with retail theft, conspiracy and related charges. Bail was set at $100,000 each, police said.
