Phila. Police Dispatcher Robbed In Front Of Police Headquarters

Crime is rampant in the city.  However, you would think that a police dispatcher walking on the property of  Police headquarters would be safe.  You are wrong. It was at 5:41 AM when the victim, an employee of the Phila Police Department was walking on the 1400 block of Callowhill street, which is the property of the Philadelphia Police Department. She was approached by an unknown black male and mugged.

 

The male, who may be homeless, is captured on video trying to pick through a nearby ash can for cigarette stubs when the woman walks near. The suspect then bolts into action and grabs her purse. She tried to hold on but is dragged into the street. He knocked her to the ground. Eventually, he was able to get her purse. The thief was last seen running south on 15th Street.

Police called this embarrassing. They have vowed to arrest the suspect and bring him to justice. If you see him, you can help. Look at the below video and see if you know him or have seen him. he is wearing some distinctive clothing.

 

Suspect Description: Black male, 6’0″ tall, thin build, dark skin, balding, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with a “Puma” logo on the front blue jogger pants with light stripes on the side, black sneakers and carrying a black “Nike Air” backpack.
