Fireworks and neighborhood street fairs  are very popular, especially around the 4th of July.  Most people want to see  them and go do something a bit different but they do not want to travel far  to do it.

Alex Lloyd Gross Photo-Delaware Valley news.com The Fry Factory is just one of the amazing food truck vendors there.

At the Linden Ave, boat launch, there is going to be a pretty amazing neighborhood festival.  The address is 9100 Delaware Avenue.  It kicks off around 6:00 PM but  quite a few people got there early.

A live band, Philly Heart and Soul  will provide entertainment until nightfall when a barge makes it way down the river and the fireworks will happen.  Until then, there are tons of things to do, such as carnival games,   and quite an interesting array of food trucks.

Alex Lloyd Gross Photo-Delaware Valley News.com Mimi Michel from State Street Events welcomes you to the festival.

Some, like The Fry Factory  are new.  Other food vendors like Charlies Pizza and Volpe’s Water Ice have partnered together.  The event, put on by  State Street Events,  with One River Alliance. is sure to draw a crowd.

Some vendors set up early to get the business of early arrivals.  Parking is along State Road  with a  short walk to the river. Fireworks will be when it turns dark figure 9:45 PM.
