If two males had not been outside of a corner store, they would not have been shot, police said. Instead, one is under arrest and both are recovering after getting shot . Both males were out past curfew, police said. 
This happened at 2:18AM outside the 5500 block of Market street. A 16 year old black male was with his friend, a17 year old black male, when a single gunman shot both of them. The 16 year old was shot one time in the chest and the 17 year old got a graze wound to his right hand. The suspect ran away on foot.
The 17 year old had a gun on him but did not fire it. Police said he will face gun charges. Police gave no motive for the shooting.
