One firefighter was treated by medics for a non life threatening injury at the scene of a one alarm house fire on Poplar Road in Lower Southampton Twp. earlier today.
Fire crews arrived to find heavy smoke from the one story house. They went in service and were able to extinguish the fire relatively quickly. The fire ran from the front to the rear of the dwelling, officials said. The cause is under investigation. Poplar Road comes in behind Central Avenue. It is not near any major highways. Fire companies from Southampton, Northampton and Trevose responded.
