Philadelphia Police released a very disturbing video of an auto-pedestrain accident. This happened on August 13 ,2023 This happened during the morning rush , 7:45 AM . This was at 5th and Berks Street, police said.
The driver of the pick-up truck is stopped at a traffic light. He wants to make a left and waits for another car to pass when he executes his turn. Just then, a 30 year old woman, walking her dog attempts to cross the street. The driver hits them and turns into a POS by driving away, at high speed, north on 5th Street, towards Cambia Street. The woman was critically injured. There is no word on her dog.
The POS driving the pick-up truck should have stopped. There is no excuse, he had to know he struck something. Instead of stopping to investigate, he kept going. He wanted to get out of there quickly. Had he been driving with no license, or no insurance, he would be in trouble, but fleeing just guaranteed him jail time when caught.
Police want to find this driver and the truck. Security cameras captured the accident and the truck. Perhaps you have seen this truck or know the driver. Maybe you got landscaping work done and this truck showed up at the job site. Police said it had landscaping equipment in the bed of the truck at the time of the incident.
Vehicle Description: It is believed to be a white Ford F-150 with damage to the driver’s side rear taillight, along with landscaping debris in the rear of the vehicle.
