Philadelphia Police announced the arrest of Cody Heron of the 4500 block of East Stiles Street in connection to the viscous assault of a woman driving near city hall. That woman was identified as Nikki Bullock. She was with her friend and two children in her car, when a male on a motorcycle had an altercation with her.
That altercation culminated with the male jumping on the rear window of her car, smashing it, which caused shattered glass to fall onto the two small children, aged 2 and 5. Police said that Heron has been identified as the biker. Almost everything is filmed and that , police said was the crux of how this case was solved. A tourist was nearby and pulled out their cellphone and video taped the assault. It went viral.
Hundreds of thousands,if not millions of people saw this video and they were appalled. One of those people was Heron’s employer, who provided what police say was crucial information to cause Heron’s arrest. in addition to Heron allegedly jumping on her window, he was carrying a gun.
That gun fell to the ground and he allegedly pointed it towards Bullock. He then allegedly headbutted her, while wearing his helmet. Heron was with a group of other bikers who took over the area around city hall. Some of those bikers started to surround Bullock and her car, in an attempt to intimidate her.
Bullock then pushed Heron and his bike over, causing Heron to fall to the ground. Police arrested Heron and District Attorney Larry Krasner broke from his his tradition of lenient behavior towards bail. He requested bail $5,000,000.00. Heron was ultimately held on $2.5 million bail/ 10 percent.
His charges include three counts of Aggravated Assault, four counts of Simple Assault, four counts of Recklessly Endangering Another Person, one count of Criminal Mischief, one count of Possession Instrument of Crime, two counts of Terroristic Threats, one count of Tampering with Recording, one count of Tampering with Evidence, one count of Disorderly Conduct-Fighting, and one count of Accidents-Damage.
