It was back on November 24, 2023 when Joel Moreau, 28, of Bristol Township, was riding his skateboard on Haines Road. It was about 10:16 PM. on November 24, 2023, as he rode his skateboard on the 1500 block of Haines Road. he was struck and killed by a 2022 red Kia K5. The driver sped away, leaving his victim on Haines Road.
An investigation was launched and a Grand Jury was convened. It was determined, police said that Tajair Anthony Delbridge, 25, was behind the wheel when the crash happened. Security video shows
Surveillance footage was recovered from a nearby business, which showed the red Kia pulling into the lot. The driver and a female passenger exited the vehicle before getting back inside and driving out of the lot. The Kia was later found a few miles away. Police were able to identify the female passenger and confirmed that Delbridge was the operator of that vehicle on November 24, 2023.
The vehicle was owned by a rental car agency, police said. Delbridge is alleged to have called the agency and informed him the car was stolen, when it was not. He placed this call about a half hour after the crash, police said.
When police found the vehicle with the smashed front window, they also found marijuana inside the car along with paraphernalia..
Delbridge turned himself in and was charged with accidents involving death or personal injury, hindering apprehension or prosecution, tampering with physical evidence, criminal solicitation, possession of a small amount of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
District Justice Kevin Wagner set his bail at $2,000,000, 10 percent.
