Never, under any circumstance should you ever share any photos with anyone that they would would not want on the front page of a newspaper. That is good, solid advice. Unfortunately, several children in Bensalem did send photos to a person they never met, Jonathan Brodecki, 21, of Moore Avenue, Bensalem nude photos of themselves, after he allegedly contacted them on social media.
Brodecki used the name “Jack_Goodric,” on Snap Chat to make contact with at least nine juvenile victims from 12-15 years of age. He would allegedly get the girls comfortable talking with him because he would make them feel he was one of their peers’ police said. He would then start asking for naked photos, police said.
In one instance, police said that he contacted one victim, a 13 year old girl and she was sexually extorted by Brodecki, who threatened to find her and rape her, as well as publicly post explicit images of her.
A search warrant was executed at Jonathan Brodecki’s residence in March of 2024. During the search, multiple electronic devices were seized. After a forensic examination of those devices, it was discovered that Brodecki had also been using a fictional Instagram persona account for the same illegal purposes as the fictional Snapchat persona.
Police believe additional juvenile victims exist who have not been identified. Jonathan Brodecki was charged with Sexual Abuse of Children (9 Counts – Felonies), Sexual Extortion/Distribution of Images (2 Counts – Felonies), Sexual Abuse of Children/Possession of Child Pornography (9 Counts – Felonies), Unlawful Contact with a Minor (14 Counts – Felonies), Obscene and Other Sexual Materials and Performance/Dissemination to Minors (3 Counts – Felonies), Corruption of Minors (2 Counts – Felonies), Corruption of Minors (7 Counts – Misdemeanors), Terroristic Threats (1 Count – Misdemeanor), Stalking (2 Counts – Misdemeanor), Criminal Use of a Communication Facility (1 Count – Felony).
District Justice Joseph Falcone arraigned Jonathan Brodecki and remanded him to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10% of 5,000,000 bail. Anyone who recalls having contact with “jack_goodric” and other similar usernames on either Snapchat or Instagram is urged to contact Detective Ryan Kolb of the Bensalem Township Police Department at (215)-633-3746.
