The Rolling Stones are in town. Fresh off a blazing show in Atlanta Georgia, the Stones boarded a private Delta plane and took the two hour trip to the Atlantic Aviation Terminal at Philadelphia International Airport.

The plane touched down in Philly about 4:20 PM and the band walked off the plane at 4:31 PM. First off the plane was Keith Richards, followed by Ronnie Wood and his family. Mick Jagger disembarked and had a fight with the wind, which was trying to blow is baseball hat from his head. As he walked down the steps from the plane, he kept his head down, to help him in this battle.

The band, and their support staff boarded buses and SUV’s which were parked at the terminal’s gate. The band had a police escort to their hotel.

They are in town for one night, June 11,2024 for a show at Lincoln Financial Field. The show is not sold out. It’s a far cry from 1981 at JFK Stadium when the Stones sold out two shows, 90,000 each. Fans are older and ticket prices are outrageous. Especially when fees are added on. The only two original members of the Stones are Mick and Keith. Ronnie Wood joined the band years later. All of that plays a part in the show not being sold out.

For those that are there, they will remember this show just like the shows they played in this area. In fact, the only venue the Stones have not played is Citizens Bank Park.
