Fun Times Were Had At Linden Ave. Park for July 4th

Yesterday, people came out to celebrate America’s Independence all across the United states. At the :Linden Avenue Boat Launch , several thousand showed up for a party. Put on by State Street Events, this shindig went on for several hours.

Early arrivals had no problems getting food at any of the dozen of food truck vendors, or getting a drink at the beer garden. As time went on, lines grew. People wanted to eat and there was a great selection of food to eat and crafts to buy.

Early arrivals also got to hear some of the bands, like Philly Heart and Soul. If you missed them, you did yourself a disservice. Great classic rock, cool son selection and a nice long set. Hopefully, they will return next year.

As the day turned to dark fireworks were shot from a barge, much to the delight of the crowd. The display was set to last for about 15 minutes.

This was the second year that this event was held and it was substantially larger, with more vendors and more things to do, such as axe throwing, multiple bounce houses and a beer garden. A vendor was doing Henna tattoos. These could be custom or already pre drawn. They last about two weeks.
