Suspect Turns Himself in To Face Charges In Center City Shooting

On June 2 2024 a triple shooting happened on 11th Street in Center City Philadelphia. Detectives worked to find a suspect and they were able to secure an arrest warrant for 24 year old Tahjir Williams, who turned himself earlier today upon finding out there was a warrant for his arrest.

Williams will face Aggravated Assault and gun charges, police said. Police gave this account of the shooting:

On Sunday, June 2, 2024, at 11:29 p.m., Philadelphia Police responded to a person with a gun, female shot on the Unit block of South 11th Street in the 9th District.

Victim #1: A Black male, 22 years old, was located on the 10XX block of Market Street with a gunshot wound to his right arm. He was transported by Police to Jefferson University Hospital, where he was placed in stable condition.

Victim #2: A White female, 53 years old, was located on the Unit block of 11th Street with a gunshot wound to her right leg. She was transported by Police to Jefferson University Hospital, where she was placed in stable condition.

Victim #3: A Black female, 42 years old, was located on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds to her pelvis and right arm. She was transported by Police to Jefferson University Hospital, where she was placed in critical but stable condition.
