Shortly after 6:00 PM Donald Trump was on stage at a fairgrounds in Butler Pennsylvania for a rally. Within minutes of him taking the stage, a series of shots rang out, the 45th President Of the United States grabbed his ear and ducked down. He had been shot.
Trump had been speaking and moving his head. That movement could have possibly saved his life. The fairgrounds, in Butler PA was placed on lockdown. There is only limited access to this area and the rally was held outside. It is speculated that the shooter was outside of the perimeter and used a long gun.
Reports are coming in that a rally attendee was killed, as was the shooter. The shooter was allegedly on top of a local business, when he was killed by police.
Trump issued a statement that appears below.
Trump raised his fist in defiance, when he was lead off stage by his secret service detail. The wound is not serious and he is going to be in Milwaukee for the Republican Nation Convention.
President Trump looks forward to joining you all in Milwaukee as we proceed with our convention to nominate him to serve as the 47th President of the United States. As our party’s nominee, President Trump will continue to share his vision to Make America Great Again.
