Some people will steal anything not nailed down. This article proves it. A speed board was stolen from the Township of New Britain .Police said it went missing between July 12 and July 15 2024. This is used as a traffic calming device.

Usually a speed limit sign is attached to it and the device measures speed of passing vehicles and should blink when a vehicle is speeding. This was last seen on the 200 block of Park Avenue in New Britain.

The sign and it’s attached solar battery/electronics housing were on a roadside pole when they went missing.

If anyone has information regarding the whereabouts of this device or who may have stolen the device, please submit a tip or contact NBTPD at 215-822-1910.
