by Alex Lloyd Gross

At 3:40 PM today, a car pulled over on the 3400 block of Front Street and Tahtiana Diggs from the 5000 block of F Street, exited the vehicle. She was a passenger, police said. as soon as she exited , she fell and was struck by a vehicle and killed.

Police cameras captured the incident from a corner, said Captain Mark Overwise, Commander of the Major Crimes  Unit. “There was no evidence of any vehicle damage and security videos show, a grey pick up tuck which police think may be the striking vehicle. “The driver of that car, and another vehicle behaved normally, they stopped at a red light,” Overwise said.

Police want those drivers to come forward. They may not realize that they hit someone and want to speak with them, police said. The location on North Front Street is within two miles of Diggs residence. The accident happened in front of horrified family members, who made the 911 call for help. Overwise said they are not sure how many vehicles hit Diggs.

Police want anyone with security cameras in the area to call them at (215) 685-3180 even if you think it’s insignificant.
