It’s the start of the school year and that means football season is starting up again. From the NFL, where the Eagles got romped by the Minnesota Vikings to high school. Locally, St.Joes and Imhotep are the favorites to go far, that does not mean there are no other games.
In South Philly, Fels played Palumbo. Samuel Fels High School took an early lead on a 1-yard quarterback run. Palumbo tied the score, 8-8, after #12 returned the following kickoff for a touchdown. Palumbo defeated Fels, 22-8, in the season opener for both teams at the South Philadelphia Supersite at 10th and Bigler Streets.
