An argument over a minor traffic accident resulted in one woman getting shot once, in front of children yesterday. The incident happened at the Wells Fargo Bank parking lot, on the 7300 block of Bustleton Avenue. It was just before 10:00 AM when the victim pulled into the lot and parked her car.
That is when another woman who was in the parking lot accused the shooting victim of bumping into her car. Rather than exchange information for an incident with little to no damage, the woman who had her car hit escalated the situation, said Gladys Sylvane, who was a friend of the victim and saw the incident happen with two small children.
A male got out of the vehicle that was bumped and pointed a pistol at the female. After a few more words were said, he fired one shot, hitting the 61 year old woman her her leg. She was rushed to a local hospital in stable conditions, police said.
