Suspect Wanted To Anti-Semitic Graffiti In Center City

by Alex Lloyd Gross

Defacing any property is wrong. Defacing a statute in front of a synagogue is reprehensible. Yet that is exactly what this suspect did at 10:59 PM on October 20,2024. He was walking with a shoulder bag and came up to a statue in front of the Mikveh Israel Congregation Synagogue at 44 North 4th Street.

Instead of walking by it or even ignoring it, the suspect in the above photo and video took out a marker and wanted to show the world his lack of intelligence. He wrote profanity on the statue and ran away. He is too stupid to know that cameras are everywhere and his actions would be preserved in perpetuity, for the entire world to see.

He is now wanted for vandalism and possibly a hate crime. Suspect Description: White male, thin build, short hair, wearing a white sweatshirt, dark pants and gray, blue and white sneakers.
