Police in Montgomery County have arrested 24 year old Brian Groo, 24. They allege that he was making child sexual material and sexually abusing a 10 month old boy. They got an anonymous tip that Groo was uploading videos to social media platform, Kik. When police looked at the video it was apparent that it was freshly made.
Police acted quickly and got a search warrant for his residence on Maple Drive. They were able to trace his screen name of “Zenshadowso” to that address. Once inside the residence, police found a hidden cellphone with the email address and the Kik application on it.
Further investigation found that the 10month of victim was someone Groo knew and had access to, police said. Groo was arrested and charged with Rape of a Child, Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse, Indecent Assault, Unlawful Contact with a Minor, Endangering the Welfare of Children, Photograph/Film/Depict on Computer Sex Act–Child, Disseminate Photo/Film of Child Sex Acts and other charges. He was arraigned on Oct. 31, 2024,before Magisterial District Judge Karen Eisner Zucker, who set bail at $2,000,077 cash.
Groo was remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 11:45 a.m., Nov. 14, 2024, before Magisterial District Judge Todd Stephens
