Teenagers and One Adult Arrested For Armed Robbery and Shooting Of Delivery Driver

Philadelphia Police made quick arrests of four alleged armed robbers this weekend. The proceeds were a small amount of cash, some pizzas and a helping of chicken wings. The four grabbed the driver, a hard working 21 year old who was delivering food to the 6700 block Paschall Avenue about 11:30 PM Saturday night, December 7, 2024.

One of the males, who was 17 years old had a gun on him and shot the driver in his leg and groin area. After the thieves grabbed what they could, the victim drove to a nearby police station and officers there rushed him to Presbyterian Hospital, where he is in stable condition.

As that was happening, officers on patrol saw males with some pizza coming from the 2200 block of Hobson Street. As police stopped to investigate, one of the males ran into an alley. The other stopped. As officers checked the alley, they found him hiding under a car. a .22 rifle was nearby.

Police found the property on Hobson Street where the males were from and secured it, after finding two more males inside. A search warrant was obtained and the males were arrested for Aggravated Assault, Robbery, and related offenses.

Police said all of the offenders were in their teens, the oldest one was 19. The shooter was 17 years old. At this point, District Attorney Larry Krasner has charged them as juveniles with the exception of the 19 year old. Police should be releasing his name and mug shot later today. As juveniles, they will be punished much lighter than an adult.

In contrast, in an unrelated case, police in Bensalem Bucks County arrested 15 year old Daniel Rosa, after he allegedly rammed a police vehicle and participated in an auto theft. He was charged as an adult and is being investigated for other crimes as well.
