Back in the day, rock and roll flea markets were held in a hotel or similar venue. There could be 50 different dealers there and they all basically sold the same things. The same, records, tapes and posters. Maybe one or two was different.

With the TPRFM all of the vendors have different things. Some have exquisite hand crafted lamps, fashioned from tools to vintage clothing. One such vendor is Misfit Trading Company, based in New Jersey. They have hand made flannels with music or band themed back patches.
This year, the band GWAR is there, signing autographs and doing meet and greets. This band is not for everyone. The autographs are done for a fee but saying hello is free. This band has elaborate get ups that will make those that are unfamiliar with them do a triple take and wonder what they just saw.
Father Evil is there making an appearance. So are a few protesters. Last year the good father approached them and told them he was inside taking photos with people for a fee. That money went to the Trenton area soup kitchen to feed the less fortunate. Father Evil did not get a penny from that, however the protesters .could not counter that, so they left. As Father Evil told them “I just had my fans donate $500.00 to feed the homeless, while you are out here condemning them. We are NOT the same.” Father Evil does have a booth but he can be seen strolling around talking with people.

While some people come to this event dressed in a concert shirt, others get dressed in outfits that must be seen to be believed. A booth to benefit local cat shelters is there and another booth on the concourse will benefit larger farm animals. It’s not all about making money .

There are vendors in the concourse and down on the show floor. Admission is under $20.00 and parking is not obscene. You can leave to get something to eat at the local eight food trucks that are in the lot or put your purchases away and then show for more stuff, as re entry is permitted with a hand stamp.
