Philadelphia Resident Pleads Guilty To Making Threatening Racist Remarks To City Workers

by Alex Lloyd Gross

When Mark Tucci emailed the city about a records request, he did not get the result he wanted so he resorted to calling the agency and screaming violent threats against people of color that worked for the city. He admitted in federal court that he made his threats by phone, email, text message, and in person, court documents said.

Tucci was arrested on a criminal complaint and warrant in January of this year and charged by information in March with one count each of a threat to use a dangerous weapon, interfering with federally protected activities, cyberstalking, interstate communication of threats, and threats interfering with federally protected activities.

Tucci somehow got the personal address and cellphone number of one worker and texted her that he was going to hurt her and come to her street. “It’s personal now”, he said.

Tucci also became enraged at another driver on I-95. He pulled next to them, called the driver racist names and then threw a mug of coffee onto the vehicle.

No sentencing date has been provided.
