The FBI is the lead investigating agency into the shooting death of Charlie Kirk yesterday. Within 24 hours, the agency has two photos of the person they suspect is the shooter, in a stairwell . The photos were presumably taken on the campus of the Utah Valley University, where Kirk was shot yesterday.
No other photos of people are considered credible. Agents found a high powered rifle in woods near the campus. That rifle is considered the weapon used. The FBI is offering a $100,000 reward for information that leads to the killers identity, arrest and conviction.
Kirk liked to engage with college students his conservative views and liked to hear what they have to say. His death is being called an assassination. Video of this shooting has been circulated worldwide within seconds of the incident happening. This news outlet is not going to share those videos.. They are disturbing to see.
It is unknown how the killer got onto campus, if he drove or walked there. In the photos you can see he is not wearing gloves. Evidence technicians are no doubt scouring that campus stairway and handrail for any DNA left behind. They are also looking at more video to see what he touched and trying to get prints from that. This is a nationwide manhunt.
