On December 20, 2025, the resident priest at the Our Mother of Consolation Church.on East Chestnut Hill Avenue was upstairs, when he heard a loud bang. When he went to investigate, he saw an unknown black male who was breaking into the poor box which was located in the front of the church.
The burglar saw the priest and fled he was last seen north on Germantown Avenue. The thief was described as a black male with a bald head. He was wearing a red hooded sweat shirt, blue jeans with white sneakers.
