Tow Truck Owner Wanted For Two Murders in Northeast

Philadelphia Police, and the US Marshals are now in a manhunt for Najee Williams who owns NKW Towing . He is a suspect in two different killings of different tow truck drivers.

The first incident occurred on Monday, Dec. 22, 2025, at approximately 12:17 p.m. Officers responding to a call at 4200 Torresdale Ave. discovered 20-year-old David Garcia-Morales inside a 2017 Ford F-450 Super Duty towing vehicle. Garcia-Morales, who had been shot in the neck and thigh, was transported to Temple University Hospital but succumbed to his injuries on Dec. 26.

The second shooting happened Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026. At approximately 7:52 p.m., officers responded to the 2100 block of Knorr Street, where they found 25-year-old Aaron Whitfield suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the head and body inside a tow truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A second victim, a 21-year-old woman, was shot in the left leg during the same incident and was transported to Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia Hospital in stable condition. Police had video evidence from that drive by shooting, which led them to develop Williams as a suspect.

Williams is wanted on two different charges of murder Murder, Violation of the Uniform Firearms Act (VUFA), Conspiracy, Possessing Instruments of Crime (PIC), and Recklessly Endangering Another Person (REAP). A warrant has been issued. At a press conference , Staff Inspector Ernest Ransom said that Williams has tied to Montgomery County.

Ransom said that tow truck drivers do not have assigned territory. The police have a tow rotation system Ransom said that police do respond to accident scenes and that people who are in a crash should call 911 and request an officer. If they feel intimidated by tow truck driver they should call 911. He stopped short of saying that the shootings were related to tow disputes .
