Dog Taken From Outside Home In Olney

UPDATE: TWO HOURS AFTER THIS STORY WAS POSTED A GOOD SAMARITAN HAS RETURNED THE DOG TO IT’S OWNER. POLICE ARE STILL LOOKING FOR THE MALE THAT TOOK THE DOG

Police are asking for help and a resident is frantic after a pet dog ( a Petterdale Terrier named Mocha) was taken from in front of his home March 19, 2026. The theft happened about 1:40 PM on the 5800 block of North Park Avenue,

Police are calling it a theft . According to police spokesperson Tanya Little, “You have an obligation to look for the owner of the dog, not just take it”,. Little did not know if the dog had a collar or if it was micro chipped.

The owner was getting work done to his house when the dog got out. It was caught on multiple cameras, including a bus camera that shows the driver of a block Toyota Scion get out, grab the dog and run back into the car with it. The owner wants the dog back.
