Gunfire rang out in an apartment building on the 2900 block of Welsh Road yesterday afternoon. According to police, a 62 year old man saw a suspected package thief, grab some packages. He had a black bag with him.
When the resident ask the thief what he was doing, the thief ran down a hall way and pointed a gun at the man, firing one shot, before running away out an exit. No injuries were reported.
One round was spent shell was recovered and the entire incident is being investigated by Northeast Detectives.No arrests have been made at this time.
