Philadelphia Police are looking for a male who shot another man at a barbecue last night, on the 1400 block of Higbee Street. It was just before 10:30PM when a shooting victims was dropped 0off at Jefferson, Frankford Hospital.
Officers were met by a 51-year-old male victim who was suffering from a gunshot wound to his right foot. 2nd District officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of Higbee Street to locate a crime scene but were unable to find one. A preliminary investigation revealed the victim was attending a barbecue on Higbee Street when his brother became involved in an argument with an unknown male.
While attempting to de-escalate the situation, the offender pulled out a handgun and struck the victim on top of the head with it, causing the magazine to fall out of the weapon. The offender then chased the victim, pointed the handgun at him, threatened his life, and shot him once in the right foot. The suspect is described as a Black male between 20 and 30 years old with a medium complexion, standing 5’7″ to 5’8″ tall with a slim build, a mustache, and a goatee, last seen wearing black pants and a white t-shirt.
