The photo in this article is a stock photo of a black 2020–2023 Dodge Charger Hellcat or Scat Pack Wide Body. Police said that the vehicle in question is responsible for striking and killing 29-year-old Talyia Bernice Nesmith of Philadelphia on the 7200 block of Elmwood Avenue early this morning, about 3:30 AM.
Nesmith had just exited from a ride share vehicle and was trying to cross Elmwood Ave. from south to north when she was hit by the vehicle. The driver took off and hit a parked Honda, then took off from that crash as well.
Nesmith was thrown into another car that was legally parked. She was pronounced dead at 4:05 AM.
