Not Too Bright Thief Turns A Summary Into A Felony In South Philly Robbery

by Alex Lloyd Gross

Another stupid criminal is being sought by Philly cops and you can help catch him. It was on July 14, about 12:30PM, when the above pictured male walked into the Giant on the 1000 block of S. Broad Street. In the middle of summer, he is wearing a hoodie.

He is caught on camera walking into the store. He goes to the health and beauty section, and there, on video he is seen putting the hoodie over his head and looking around. He might have thought that the cameras in the store never caught him before, but now, now as he starts to take a simple bottle of body wash, he makes and effort to conceal his face.

He is wearing a backpack wrong, around the front, as opposed to the rear. That’s another telltale sign someone is trying to do something. He takes the body wash and stuffs it into his backpack and tried to walk out of the store.

The security guard stopped him, so the genius Mensa member reaches into the backpack and alludes to the fact that he has a gun. What was a summary shoplifting charge instantly got escalated to a felony robbery charge with that remark.

He is most probably a local. Should you know who he is, police want to hear from you.
