Georgia CarJacker Gets Over 13 Years For Upper Darby Crimes

by Alex Lloyd Gross

Jalaal Claitt , 20, formerly of Atlanta Georgia came to Upper Darby and West Philadelphia to carjack and steal from people. He previously pled guilty to two carjacking and weapons offenses and just got sentenced to over 13 years in federal prison.

It was on September 17,2024, when Claitt and two other carjackers approached a stranger in West Philadelphia and demanded that he drive them somewhere. Those two males, Legend Hall and Kristian Jackson took the car and about $500.00 in cash that was in the car.

It gets worse. In Upper Darby, they called in a phony pizza order from Slices and More. When the delivery driver arrived, he was jumped by the trio and they took his wallet, phone, car keys and money..

Both other co defendants are in prison, with Legend serving 11 and a half years in prison and Jackson doing eight and a half.
