Anwar Hussain is in serious trouble with Warrington Police, following an accident in front of his home. Police said an incident happened just after 9:00 AM August 31, 2026. That is when police said Hussain backed out of his driveway on the 600 block of Addison Way and allegedly hit a pedestrian.
Police were called to the scene and originally thought it was a fall victim. The victim had serious head trauma,. As police and EMS were at the scene, so was Hussain but he never identified himself as the driver. In fact, according to police, after impact, he is alleged to have driven his car at high speed back up his driveway, and ran back to the scene, with his cellphone.
He never called 911. Even as police asked neighbors what happened, Hussain never approached police. It was not until 41 minutes later, into the scene that a nieghbor told police it was a hit and run.
A video was provided to police and that video provided proof that the pedestrian was hit by a car. Hussain was contacted at work in Philadelphia and returned to the police station to be interviewed. He was subsequently charged with Leaving The scene of an accident, failure to identify and render aid as well as reckless driving and other related traffic offenses.
