All Of Ed Sheeran’s Tour Openers Bail From Tour

by Alex Lloyd Gross

Just after Macklemore made what some people are calling Anti Sematic comments and anti Isreal rhetoric, he was dropped from the tour. That means he will not be at Lincoln Financial Field On September 19, 2026. Neither will any of his other openers.

Aaron Rowe and Beoga, Sheeran’s house band have removed themselves from the tour to support Macklemore. This is a prime example of biting off your nose to spite your face. Most American fans are not that familiar with these two bands. By opening for Sheeran, they were guaranteed exposure in front of hundreds of thousands of people.

Macklemore said that he is not bitter and he “Get’s to go home to his family”. Robert Kraft has banned him from Gillette Stadium and in the end, it would have been too much negative press attention on what should be a fun and happy experience.

It should be noted that artists have every right to have an opinion. Not everyone in the crowd shares that opinion. Be that on world events, elections or anything else. When you come out in favor of something, fifty percent of the people are going to turn against you and not buy your music, attend your shows or buy your merch.

Danish pop band Lukas Graham also announced on Tuesday their withdrawal as a supporting act for Sheeran’s tour.

So what happens at the Linc Saturday night? Will there be a new opener or will Sheeran play a longer set? It is unknown if anything can be thrown together in a few short days. .
