Bensalem Police have arrested 27-year-old Valeed Anjum, a township resident and charged him with multiple counts of Unlawful Contact with a Minor (F1), multiple counts of Sexual Abuse of a Child (F2), Criminal Use of Communication Facility (F3) and other related charges.
An investigation was launched and it was discovered that Anjum was allegedly communicating with children between the ages of 10-15 years old, across the United States. He is alleged to have sent photos of his genitals to these children and, police allege, in some cases paid them to send naked photos to him in return..
Police said there are five victims across the USA that they know about, but there could be more. When Anjum was interviewed, he allegedly confessed to police that he went to Gloucester County , where he met a 12 year old girl and they engaged in sex acts.
New Jersey authorities have been advised of this and will charge him accordingly,. In addition to that investigation, there is also the likely hood that he could face federal charges as well. Police said that he used Snapchat to communicate with his victims.
He was held on $10,000,000.00 bail / 10 percent. Anjum, who is also believed to have used the alias “Puma,” used the Snapchat usernames “poomdoom69” and “brain.rotty.” Investigators believe there may be additional victims who have not yet been identified.
